Having lived and painted most of her life in New England, Dale Partis Greene, though mostly self taught, has learned and been inspired most by studying oil, pastel and acrylic painting with Albert Handell, Richard McKinley, Dennis Sheehan, Lully Schwartz and recently with Nella Lush. She loves the challenges that painting en plein air presents and the opportunities to really see, feel and connect with the changing moods of nature. Capturing a special moment in time is both her intention and pleasure. More expressionist or abstract work is done in her studio.
Dale is an artist member of the Rockport Art Association & Museum, a juried member of the National Association of Women Artists, the Concord Art Association, and the Newburyport Art Association where she won the Laura Coombs Hills Winter Show Award for Excellence in Oil, The Plein Air Painters of New Hampshire, and the Olde Lyme Art Association, and is an associate artist at the North Shore Arts Association. She has won numerous awards in exhibits at Marblehead Art Association, Andover Arts Guild’s Art in the Park, the Ipswich Art Show and other competitions. She is a member of the Newburyport Ten Plein Air Painters, which paints weekly in the Cape Ann area and hosts an annual exhibit at Newburyport Art Association. Dale has been invited to exhibit her work at the Alynn Lyman Art Museum in New London, Ct.
